Suffolk Prickles Hedgehog Rescue provides a rescue, care and rehabilitation service for sick, injured and orphaned hedgehogs so that they can be released back into the wild wherever possible.

Alongside this amazing rescue work, Suffolk Prickles also aims to spread the word about how we can help our little prickly friends by providing habitat that will help them thrive.

We grow them, cook them, persuade our children to eat them (mostly!) and really couldn’t manage without them. Join us as Neville shows us the global history of our favourite vegetables.

Salvia

Mark Mason has over fifty years experience in horticulture and is a key member of the Sudbury in Bloom team.

With so many varieties and given its extended flowering season, Salvia has long been a favourite for adding colour to our gardens. Mark will be considering the role of the Salvia in our 21st century gardens, telling us about its various botanical and medical roles, and showing us how to prune and take cuttings.

Nature Through the Seasons – Autumn/Winter

For over thirty years, Roger Hance has been involved in photography, first with the Ipswich and District Photographic Society and then with the Royal Photographic Society. Alongside earning four RPS fellowships, Roger has won numerous awards in both national and international exhibitions.

One of the most enviable aspects of life in our part of the world is the changing seasons, each bringing its own particular delights. Roger will be brightening our December meeting with a selection of nature and wildlife photographs illustrating the highlights of our autumn and winter seasons.
